Ueno Sky Bridge and more

We had a day off today (actually Darko had a day off, every day is a day off for me :)), so we decided to do some sightseeing. I have done some research over the weekend, and I picked the Ueno Sky Bridge. It's two hours away from our house and it looked pretty interesting. Ueno Sky Bridge extends over the natural landscape and it sits around 100 meters above it. I am not afraid of the heights, but I don't like seeing huge chasm under my feet. It was pretty cool view though. This is mostly a summer attraction so everything around the bridge was closed. We still were able to get on the bridge and take some cool pics.
We left the house around 10am, and our first stop was Starbucks. Of course. :) A good day cannot start without a good cup of coffee.

Caramel Machiato Iced is my all time favorite
We saw some pretty nice sights on the way there.  Our second stop was this beautiful Kanna-Ko lake. This lake was so pretty and so big. I was like a little kid, soaking up everything I could see. Every time I see something new (especially the nature), I get this lovely feeling inside of me. I feel like I got richer and smarter in one moment. Nothing can buy this view of nature. I get surprised every time I see how beautiful our planet is. There are so many beautiful places on this planet, and anyone who doesn't travel stays poor, no matter how much money one has in his or her pocket.
I took pictures from different sides of this lake. Look below.. :)

Pretty?

I loved it!
We stopped at some bridge to take pictures too
As you can see the color of the water is pretty amazing. And the mountains around the lake were breath taking.
The weather today was perfect. It was around 12 degrees Celsius, and with just a little bit of wind.
We got to our destination-Ueno Sky Bridge, and there was nobody, but us. I guess it was because it's off season, and it was Tuesday (I'm guessing people were at work). Once we got there, it was really cold. It was snowing recently and the wind was pretty cold too. By the bridge were parking lots with spots for BBQ, and some little houses that you could rent for vacation. They were so pretty and cozy. I would love to stay there.

And the view from the bridge

This is my new favorite picture of us :)

We didn't stay there for the long time, but we really enjoyed it. It would be more fun to come in the spring or in early fall when everything is green. There are some nice woods that you could walk around, and I just read online there are some nice caves too. We will be back here. :)
On our way back home, we stopped by one shrine we saw. I don't know the name of this shrine because everything was in Japanese, and we still don't speak it. :/ I couldn't find the name on the map either. We got to walk up to hill for about 30 mins (it was pretty hard for me because I am so out of shape). The view from the hill was cool, so I don't regret walking. :)

Cool little statues we saw by the path we walked

The view

It was a great day today. We had so much fun. It was nice to get away, and to enjoy all these beautiful sights. Japan is so pretty ( I probably say this for every country I went to)!
Here is the link of Ueno Sky Bridge, if you would like to get some more info or see some more pics  http://www.visitgunma.jp/en/sightseeing/detail.php?sightseeing_id=39

If you know any nice places here in Japan that I should see, please let me know. :)

How was your weekend? Did you see anything cool? Did you meet any new person, or did you eat any super tasty food? Let me know!

Talk to you soon! Stay positive!
