Russian moments

One of my 2018 (and every year) resoultions was to visit one country I’ve never been to before. I thought we should go to some country next to Serbia that we didn’t visit already . But, in April of 2018 Darko got an offer from one team in Russia. I wanted to visit Russia at some point, but it wasn’t on my “most wanted countries to visit” list. Actually, I didn’t have any special opinion about that country. What I know about Russian people is only what I saw (experienced) in airports and hotels. I don’t want to generalize, but my impressions were (and didn’t change much after our time in Russia) that Russian people are rude, unpolite, and too proud. There is nothing wrong with being proud, as long as you respect other people. But, if you think that you are worth more just because you were born in a certain country, there is something wrong with you. We lived in a city called Yaroslavl, which is about 4 hours (250 km/160 mi) drive from Moscow. This city is small considering russian sta

New year, new post, same me

When am I going to catch up with the time?! I know it’s going too fast, I can feel it. But, it seems I cannot realize how fast its passing, and I keep thinking I have time for things, especially for writing this blog. I love writing, and I love writing about our travels and adventures,  but for some reason I cannot continually write. If I could write one post per week, that would be great. 2018 was an interesting year for us. We went to two new countries: Russia and Israel, and we visited two countries we already lived in- Greece and Georgia. My 2018 resolution was to read a book a month, and I did that which makes me very happy. I didn’t read a lot before, and for some reason I didn’t like reading, but I’m glad that changed. There are other resolutions I kept, and two I didn’t: regular exercise and continue  writing. Let’s hope this year will be different. We are currently in Republic of  Georgia, but I would like to write about our adventures from 2018. Just to keep it in order.

A place where time has stopped

For some reason, every summer when we get back to Serbia I stop writing. I am little busier here than during the season, but I feel like I lose motivation, and I don't even think that much about the blog. Well... I decided to change that. :) Serbia is a beautiful country, and there is so much to see. Especially the nature here is amazing. Few weeks ago we went to visit my dad's village. He was born there, but he left the village during his early age. When we were younger, my sisters and I would spend summers at this place. Since, I didn't like the village life that much I didn't spend that much time as my younger sister. Last time I visited this place was six years ago. And, nothing has changed since than. Actually, nothing has changed since my visits as a child. My grandmother looks the same. She didn't aged a bit. I don't know how she does it. :) The house looks the same, as well as the things inside the house. The population of the village is no more tha
