Nina's past year

On this day next month, we will celebrate Nina's 3rd birthday. I can't believe it went by so fast. I still remember her being a baby. Sometimes, I would call her a baby, but she would respond "Mom, I am not a baby. I am Nina." :) She is very smart and funny. She loves music and dancing. These days, she is all about duct taping. She would tape everything and anything. She would tape chairs, tables, Darko, me.. The other day she taped her legs, and said she is mermaid. Seconds later, she regretted when she figured she couldn't walk. :) She is very attached to Darko. When he is around, I do not exist. It's been like that since she was born. And, I don't think it will change in the future. She is the daddy's girl.
She is still very demanding and energetic. She loves attention. If she wants something, she will push it until she gets it. She loves dresses and wears them almost every day.
She is still very picky when it comes to food, but loves pasta, rice, chicken vegetable soup, and eggs. She will eat potato only if it's fried.
She loves being outside.
She is still not a great sleeper, but we are used to it. She would wake up once every night. For the past two days, she didn't take her day naps. I feel like she will soon stop having them for good, and I am not so happy about that. :)
Since we move a lot, she is used to a change. In the past year, we have been to five different countries in two continents.
I am still taking monthly photos of her. It is harder to take the photos now, when she is older. She is not as excited about them as I am. :)

As she gets older, her character is getting stronger. It's getting harder to compete with her, but she really brightens each day of our lives.
Her first birthday we celebrated in Tunisia, second in France, and we will see where the third one will take its place. :)

I considered myself the traveler. Few days ago, I was thinking about all the countries I visited so I found online maps where you can check off all the countries you visited.  After Tunisia in 2015, we moved to Saudi Arabia. Actually, Darko went straight to Arabia, and Nina and I went back to Serbia to get our visas for Arabia. It took us three months to get visas. I don't know how much you know about Saudi Arabia, but this is a very conservative country. There is no tourist visa, and you can only enter this country for work or if your spouse work there, and you are going to visit him/her. It is a very religious country, and it is known as the birthplace of Islam. Both, Meca and Medina are located in the Saudi Arabia. The entire country is run by Sharia law ( it is derived from the religious precepts, the Quran and the Hadith). The country is very rich, since they are very famous for oil producing. They are world's largest oil producer and exporter. The climate is not the best. At least, I didn't like it. It is too dry, too hot, and too much sand. Zlin Zoo

 Usually only Sundays are our days off, but this past week we had the entire weekend for family time. We always try to spend this time outside as much as we can, especially, if the weather is good. These past months the weather was really weird. I guess the most of the planet's population felt that way. We didn't have a real spring day until week or so ago. All of a sudden, on past Saturday we woke up, and the weather was really nice. We were discussing what should we do for the day. I remember getting a recommendation for visiting a Zlin Zoo. I did a little research and it really looked nice. But, it was more than nice. It was way above my expectations. I questioned writing a post about this zoo, but I think it deserves its place in here. We left home quite late, so we couldn't stay as long as we wanted, but we definitely had a great time!   Zlin Zoo is located on the eastern side of the country, somewhere between cities Brno and Ostrava.
